<p>Toward the bottom of the fjord, the mountain sides slope rather steeply towards the sea and are sparsely populated. As the depths in the fjords are almost always quite deep near the shore, there are few suitable anchorage spots for larger vessels, which can nevertheless seek refuge at <a data-county="Rogaland" data-lat="58.89645" data-lng="6.04409" data-municipality="Sandnes" data-type="Holme i sjø" href="ssr:729657">Vedholmen</a> and <a data-county="Rogaland" data-lat="58.89879" data-lng="6.00305" data-municipality="Sandnes" data-type="Vik i sjø" href="ssr:207610">Selesviga</a>.</p>
<p>Common to all anchorages in the fjord are steeply sloping bottoms and a lack of mooring bolts. It is recommended to use shore lines.</p>

<p>Felles for alle ankerplassene i fjorden er sterkt avfallende bunn og mangel på fortøyningsbolter. Det anbefales å bruke landtau.</p>
