<p>Søre Vaulen refers to the shallow sound between Nerlandsøya and Bergsøya. The depth in the dredged channel is 4.6 meters. Three red lights on iron rods on the NW side and three green lights on iron rods on the SE side guide navigation through the channel. In winds from the W and SW, there can be considerable swell through the sound. There is a bridge over the sound, with a minimum clearance height of 20 meters.</p>

<p>Søre Vaulen kalles det grunne sundet mellom Nerlandsøya og Bergsøya. Dybden i den mudrede renna er 4,6 m. Til veiledning for seilasen gjennom renna er tre røde lykter på jernstenger på NW-siden og tre grønne lykter på jernsteger på SE-siden. Ved W- og SW-lig vind kan det bli atskillig sjødrag gjennom sundet. Det går bru over sundet, minste fri seilingshøyde 20 m.</p>
