When navigating through the strait, stay close to <a href="ssr:316318" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.12152" data-lng="7.80202" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Øy i sjø">Nordlandet</a> , where the waters are clear except for three rather shallow shoals close to shore.</p>
<p>A bridge crosses the strait, with a minimum vertical clearance of 18 meters over a width of 30 meters. A new bridge has been built just west of the old one, also with a clearance of 18 meters. It is possible to pass both north and south of the <a href="ssr:590375" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.1072" data-lng="7.84979" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Skjær i sjø">Omsbrørne</a> islets.</p>

<p>Bru over sundet, minste fri høyde 18m i en bredde av 30 m. Ny bru er bygd like W for den gamle, høyde 18 m. Man kan gå både N og S for <a href="ssr:590375" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.1072" data-lng="7.84979" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Skjær i sjø">Omsbrørne</a>.</p>
