<p>The Nauar is navigated mid-channel between Parisholmene (the islets SE of Skarvøyna) and the green beacon. Slight protrusion extends from Parisholmene, otherwise the strait is clear.</p><p>The tidal current flows inward (towards SE) on rising water and outward on falling water. Inbound current is most pronounced along the southern shoreline, while outbound current is most pronounced along the northern shoreline. The current is strong through Herdlesundet and The Nauar.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>Det naua passeres midtvaters mellom Parisholmane (holmene SE av Skarvøyna) og grønn stake. Det snager litt ut fra Parisholmane, ellers er sundet rent.</p><p>Tidevannsstrømmen går innover (mot SE) på stigende vann og utover på fallende vann. Inngående strøm er mest markert langs søndre land mens utgående strøm er mest markert langs nordre land. Strømmen er sterk gjennom Herdlesundet og Det Nauar.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>Note that in connection with the military area at Herdla</p><p>(N of Askøy) and around Skarvøy, access is prohibited for unauthorized persons within a 200 m zone out in the sea.</p><p>In relation to the military area on Lille- and Store Pariserholmen, the islets directly S of Skarvøyni, the corresponding zone is 50 m.</p><p>Diving, anchoring, fishing, and the use of trawls and bottom gear in any form are prohibited in Sætreosen – The Nauar.
