<p>During the approach to Herdlesundet, keep clear to the south of Herdleflua with Herdlesundet light positioned in the channel between Skarvøyna and Lamøyna.</p><p>In the channel, the current is inconvenient for anchoring. Smaller vessels use the anchorage SE of the light, where anchoring on sandy bottom is possible, with mooring bolts. There is a bridge over the channel with a vertical clearance of 17 meters. Larger vessels should avoid the area between the light and the quay.</p>

<p>Under innseilingen til Herdlesundet går man klar S om Herdleflua med Herdlesundet lykt i sundet mellom Skarvøyna og Lamøyna.</p><p>I sundet er strømmen sjenerende for ankring. Mindre fartøyer bruker ankerplassen SE for lykten, hvor det kan ankres på sandbunn, fortøyningsbolter. Det går bru over sundet med fri seilingshøyde 17 m. Større fartøyer må holde klar av grunnen mellom lykten og kaien.</p>
