The passage between the islets north of <a href="ssr:435588" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="62.32384" data-lng="5.65199" data-municipality="Herøy" data-type="Nes i sjø">Eggesbønes</a> is particularly narrow and shallow. The width here is just under 10 meters, and the depth at low tide is 0.8 meters. A bridge crosses this passage, with a vertical clearance of 2.5 meters. Over the northern part of the strait, between <a href="ssr:416286" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="62.33919" data-lng="5.67234" data-municipality="Herøy" data-type="Nes i sjø">Bergnes</a> and <a href="ssr:583757" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="62.33559" data-lng="5.68234" data-municipality="Herøy" data-type="Nes i sjø">Buholmen</a>, there is another bridge with a vertical clearance of 5.0 meters.
