In the narrowest part of the strait, between <strong><a href="ssr:526432" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.11504" data-lng="7.75005" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Holme i sjø">Nordholmen</a> </strong>and <strong><a href="ssr:647455" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.11471" data-lng="7.75123" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Fyrlykt">Bjørnehaugen</a> </strong>on <strong><a href="ssr:316318" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.12152" data-lng="7.80202" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Øy i sjø">Nordlandet</a></strong>, there is a 20-meter-wide channel with a depth of 5.4 meters. East of <strong><a href="ssr:526432" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="63.11504" data-lng="7.75005" data-municipality="Kristiansund" data-type="Holme i sjø">Nordholmen</a></strong>, a bridge has been built across the strait, with a minimum vertical clearance of 28 meters over a 30-meter-wide section at the center of the bridge.</p>
