<p>Vegsundet connects Borgundfjorden and Åsefjorden to Storfjorden. The strait itself, which is well marked for both day and night navigation, is dredged to 4.5 m with a bottom width of 15 m.<br />To the east in the strait, there is a bridge with a minimum clearance height of 16.2 m. From here, you can reach Storfjorden through two navigation channels. The southwesternmost, Pinesundet, is marked only for daytime navigation and has a minimum depth of 2.4 m. You must signal with a whistle well in advance before entering the strait, as there is only space for one vessel at a time in the channel. Slow speed mandatory!</p>

Selve sundet som er godt oppmerket både for dag- og nattseilas, er mudret til 4,5 m i en bunnbredde av 15 m.<br />E-ligst i sundet er det bru med minste fri høyde 16,2 m. Herfra kan man komme ut i Storfjorden gjennom to seilløp. Det SW-ligste, Pinesundet, er oppmerket kun for dagseilas, og har en minstedybde på 2,4 m. Det må signaliseres med fløyte i god tid før man entrer sundet da det bare er plass til ett fartøy om gangen i løpet. Sakte fart påbudt!</p>
