<p>Lurefjorden extends from Fosnøyna approximately 12 nautical miles southwards to Seim. It is deep and clear, making it easy to navigate. Narrow and shallow straits lead between the many islands and islets in the northeastern part of the fjord and into the inlets and estuaries within. The landscape is quite low with little forest and settlement, except at the innermost parts of the fjord, where there are some beautiful wooded areas with well-kept farms. </p><p>The current is hardly noticeable until north of Fesøyna, towards Fosnstraumen. </p><p>Sparse anchorages for larger vessels along the fjord.</p>

<p>Lurefjorden strekker seg fra Fosnøyna ca 12 n mil S‑over til Seim. Den er dyp og ren og lett å seile i. Trange og grunne sund fører mellom de mange øyene og holmene i nordøstre delen av fjorden og inn til vågene og osene innenfor. Landskapet er nokså lavt med lite skog og bebyggelse, unntatt innerst i fjorden, hvor det er enkelte vakre skogkledde strøk med velstelte garder. </p><p>Man merker lite til strømmen før N av Fesøyna, mot Fosnstraumen. </p><p>Sparsomt med ankerplasser for større fartøyer langs fjorden.</p>
