<p>Laksholmsundet is narrow. While sailing through the strait from the South, keep the first rock to port. Near the northern end of the strait, steer close to the Laksholmsundet lighthouse to avoid the 4-meter shoal in the middle of the water. To avoid the shoals west of Grotholmen, navigate clear using the Svellingen lighthouse until you pass the western point of Benkene.</p><p>If choosing to steer South and West around Storsængen, you will avoid the southeast of Skjerboen with Selsstakken (54 meters) over the highest Pløsen.</p>

<p>Laksholmsundet er trangt. Under seilasen gjennom sundet fra S holdes første skjær om babord. N‑ligst i sundet styres nærmest Laksholmsundet lykt for å gå klar 4 m grunnen midtvaters. Grunnene W av Grotholmen går man klar med Svellingen lykt til W‑pynten av Benkene.</p><p>Velger man å styre S og W om Storsængen, er man fri SE om Skjerboen med Selsstakken (54 m) over høyeste Pløsen.</p>
