<p>Between Ulvøyna and Blomøyna, on the N side, and Ono and Rongøyna, on the S side, Ulvsundet leads into Hjeltefjorden. The current can be quite strong through the strait, W with falling and E with rising water. As the nautical chart shows, the strait is clear and well-marked. Usually, vessels navigate N of Vardholmen in the western part of the strait.</p><p>The Ministry of Fisheries has made the following regulation:</p><p>In Ulvsundet, vessels within the sea area between the straight lines drawn in a</p><p>N direction from:</p><p>1. Rongøyna through the eastern point of Mikkelsberget to Blomøyna, 2. Rongøyna through Rossholmflua iron rod to Blomøyna, must proceed at a reduced speed, not exceeding 7 knots.</p><p>Violation of this prohibition is punishable by fines.</p>

Rongøyna gjennom østre pynten på Mikkelsberget til Blomøyna, 2. Rongøyna gjennom Rossholmflua jernstang til Blomøyna, gå med innskrenket fart, ikke over 7 knop.</p><p>Overtredelse av dette forbudet straffes med bøter.</p>
