<p>Mostraumen is known as the narrowest passage with a minimum depth of 3.2 meters. The current can reportedly reach speeds of up to 6 knots under extreme conditions. Slack water occurs approximately 1/2 to 1 hour after HW in Bergen. However, the current conditions will vary, and during the spring, the current will primarily set outward. During navigation, stay mid-channel aligned with the leading lights (FR) attached to two telephone poles.</p>

<p>Mostraumen kalles det trangeste løpet med minste dybde 3,2 m. Strømmen kan etter sigende oppnå en fart på opptil 6 knop ved ekstreme forhold. Strømstille ca. 1/2–1 time etter HW i Bergen. Strømforholdene vil imidlertid variere en del, og strømmen vil om våren i hovedsak å sette utover. Under seilasen holdes midtvaters i overettlyktene (FR) som er festet på 2 telefonstolper.</p>
