<p>Aurland, or Aurlandsvangen as the settlement around the old, beautiful stone church at the river mouth is called, is the central place in Aurlandsfjorden, hosting, among other things, the municipal administration for Aurland municipality. The location offers various types of commerce, a pharmacy, retirement and nursing homes, a savings bank, a hotel, a guesthouse, camping facilities, and an agricultural school. <p>Aurland, eller Aurlandsvangen som tettbebyggelsen rundt den gamle, vakre steinkirken ved elveosen kalles, er det sentrale stedet i Aurlandsfjorden, med blant annet kommuneadministrasjonen for Aurland kommune. Stedet, som har handel av forskjellig slag, medisinutsalg, alders- og sykehjem, sparebank, hotell, pensjonat, camping og jordbruksskole. Lege, tannlege, lensmann og prest er bosatt på stedet. Forskjellig industr. Ved Onstad ligger Fjordsenteret med bl.a. legesenter, bakeri, vaskeri og ferdigmatbedrift.<br />Ferjeleie for ferjen til Gudvangen og Kaupanger. Informasjonskontor rett opp for gjestekaien.
