<p>Stavern is a well-known and very popular holiday destination. Here you will find several shops, post office, bank, pharmacy, pub, hotel, and guesthouse. Police, Coastal Hospital for post-treatment patients, doctor, and dentist. Sports hall. The Air Force schools are located in Stavern on the area of the old naval shipyard.<br />There is some local fishing and some industry such as motor workshops and factories for welding machines, the stone industry, wire drawing, and a marina.<br />The rescue boat is stationed here.<br />Stavern has good road connections; bus connections with Larvik (8 km) and the district beyond Brunlanes to Helgeroa.</p>
<h3>Guest Harbor</h3>
<p>The guest harbor has a service building on the quay, toilet, laundry room, shower, wash and dry. Waste disposal and septic reception.</p>
<p>Floskjærhaven small boat harbor, floating jetty, 80 m guest dock. Electricity and water. Boarding and disembarkation lift for wheelchair users.</p>
<h3>Sailing Information</h3>
<p>Both entrances are well marked for sailing in visible weather.</p>
<h3>Currents and Tide Conditions</h3>
<p>The current in the harbor usually sets to the south, but eddies often form at the Steamboat Quay.</p>

<p>Stavern er et kjent og meget søkt feriested. Her er flere foretninger, post, bank, apotek,<br />pub, hotell og pensjonat. Politi, Kysthospital for etterbehandlingspasienter, lege og tannlege. Idrettshall. Luftforsvarets skoler Stavern ligger på området til det gamle marineverftet.<br />Der drives litt hjemmefiske, og en del industri som motorverksted og fabrikker for sveisemaskiner, steinindustri, trådtrekking og marina.<br />Redningsskøyta er stasjonert her.<br />Stavern har gode veiforbindelser; rutebilforbindelse med Larvik (8 km) og distriktet utover Brunlanes til Helgeroa.</p>

<p>Gjestehavna med servicebygg på kai, toalett, vaskerom, dusj, vask og tørk. Renovasjon og septikkmottak.</p>
<p>Floskjærhavnen småbåthavn, flytebrygge, 80 m gjestebrygge. Strøm og vann. Ombord og ilandstigningsheis for rullestolbrukere.</p>
<h3>Seilingsinformasjon</h3>
<p>Begge innseilingene er godt oppmerket for seilas i siktbart vær.</p>
<h3>Strøm og tidevannsforhold</h3>
<p>Strømmen i havnen setter gjerne S‑over, men det danner seg ofte bakevjer ved Dampskipskaia.</p>

<p>The harbor is spacious, with good holding ground, clay. Mooring rings are placed all around the harbor. Vessels are best anchored in the eastern and southwestern part of the harbor, where they are also best away from the traffic to and from the quays. In an onshore storm, there can be quite a bit of surge in the southern harbor. In the northern harbor, there is space for fishing vessels, depth 3-4 m. Small vessels can otherwise anchor along the land around the entire harbor.</p>

<p>Havnen er rommelig, med god holdebunn, leire. Fortøyningsringer er plassert rundt hele havnen. Fartøyer ligger best i østre og sørvestre delen av havnen, hvor man også er best unna trafikken til og fra kaiene. Ved pålandsstorm kan det bli en god del drag i søndre havn. I nordre havn er det plass for fiskefartøyer, dybde 3-4 m. For øvrig kan småfartøyer ankre langs land hele havnen rundt.</p>
