<p>The quay at the aluminum plant is equipped with the following cranes and equipment: a 15-ton crane, a 25-ton “combi crane,” and a 40/50-ton derrick crane.</p>
<p>Discharging equipment includes a 10–15 ton grab/hook crane.</p>
<p>There are also multiple outlets for water and electricity.</p>

<p>The following quay is available: the aluminum plant quay, a 307-meter concrete pier quay.</p>
<p>The fixed red leading lights provide safe clearance from the shoal formed by the river. Large vessels approach along the east side of the bay and berth port side to. There is a back eddy at the quay which can make berthing difficult, especially noticeable at low tide. A large flushing pipe from the factory also discharges approximately at the middle of the quay.</p>
<p>Anchoring off <a href="ssr:801046" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="62.67519" data-lng="8.56327" data-municipality="Sunndal" data-type="Tettsted">Sunndalsøra</a> is not recommended, as the area can be exposed to sudden and severe downdrafts. If anchoring is necessary, the best position is on the east side, outside the quay, using a mooring bolt.</p>

<p>De faste røde overettlyktene skjermer klar av utgrunningen fra elven. Store skip styrer opp langs E-siden av bukta og legger til med babord side. Det er bakevje ved kaia som kan vanskeliggjøre tillegg, denne er særlig merkbar ved fjære sjø. Det kommer også ut et stort spylerør fra fabrikken omtrent under midten av kaia.</p>
<p>Ut for <a href="ssr:801046" data-county="Møre og Romsdal" data-lat="62.67519" data-lng="8.56327" data-municipality="Sunndal" data-type="Tettsted">Sunndalsøra</a> bør man nødig ankre, da man her kan være utsatt for voldsomt fallvær. Skal man ankre, ligger man best på E-siden, utenfor kaia, fortøyningsbolt.</p>
