<p>The anchorage is good for medium‑sized and smaller vessels. Larger vessels preferably anchor midway between the green beacon and the shore, on the bearing of <a href="ssr:876817" data-county="Troms - Romsa - Tromssa" data-lat="68.99686" data-lng="17.4746" data-municipality="Dyrøy" data-type="Fyrlykt">Kastnesskjæret</a> light in line with <a href="ssr:745155" data-county="Troms - Romsa - Tromssa" data-lat="68.98614" data-lng="17.37624" data-municipality="Dyrøy" data-type="Nes i sjø">Hagenes</a>, at a depth of about 20 meters, with sand and clay bottom. Smaller vessels can proceed all the way into the bay until the light is aligned with the point to the east. Mooring posts are available.</p>
<p>Northerly and partly southerly winds send considerable sea into the harbour.</p>

Større fartøyer ankrer helst midt mellom den grønne staken og land i medet <a href="ssr:876817" data-county="Troms - Romsa - Tromssa" data-lat="68.99686" data-lng="17.4746" data-municipality="Dyrøy" data-type="Fyrlykt">Kastnesskjæret</a> lykt over <a href="ssr:745155" data-county="Troms - Romsa - Tromssa" data-lat="68.98614" data-lng="17.37624" data-municipality="Dyrøy" data-type="Nes i sjø">Hagenes</a>, dybde ca 20 m, sand- og leirbunn. Mindre fartøyer kan gå helt inn i bukta til medet lykten overett med odden E for. Fortøyningspåler.</p>
<p>N- og til dels S-lig vind setter en del sjø inn i havnen.</p>
