<p>Stranda is the municipal center for Stranda municipality and is the main location in the inner part of Storfjorden. Selve strandstedet er bymessig bebygd og det er også atskillig tettbebyggelse opp gjennom dalen.<br />Stranda har post i butikk, forretninger av forskjellig slag, bank, fabrikker, hotell, kafé, pensjonat, campingplass med hytter, lege, tannlege, apotek og dyrlege. Bensinstasjon ved siden av ferjekaia med muligheter for vann og olje. Stedet har ferjeforbindelse med Liabygda (Grovaneset). Ferjekai.</p>

<p>SE-lig vind kan sette opp atskillig sjø langs kaiene, slik at det kan være vanskelig å ligge der. Det er ikke tilrådelig å ankre ut for kaiene da bunnen er sterkt avfallende.</p>
