<p>Årdalstangen is a large industrial center at the bottom of the fjord. Here you will find municipal offices for Årdal municipality, nursing home, doctor, dentist, hotel, café, industry, mechanical workshop, gas station, and various types of trade. Bunkers available only for small boats in the marina. About 11 km up to Øvre Årdal.<br />Route boat quay, ferry ramps at the innermost part of the quay, ferry connection discontinued. Be aware of the river mouth with possible shoaling! There is road connection with Eastern Norway over Øvre Årdal–Tyin–Valdres and to Kaupanger via ferry from Fodnes. Express boat connection with Bergen.</p>
