<p>Knarvik is the municipal center for Lindås municipality. Besides the municipal offices, there is a large shopping center, bank, pharmacy, gas station, and workshop. Additionally, there is a doctor, school, and police. The center itself is located a bit uphill from the quays. Knarvik was previously a busy ferry terminal, but after the Salhus Bridge was established, the ferry service was discontinued.</p>

<p>Knarvik, er kommunesenter for Lindås kommune. Foruten de kommunale kontorer er her større butikksenter, bank, apotek, bensinstasjon og verksted. Videre lege, skole og lensmann. Selve senteret ligger et stykke opp for kaiene. Knarvik var tidligere et travelt ferjested, men etter at Salhusbrua kom, er ferjeforbindelsen nedlagt.</p>
