The westernmost part of Moldefjorden can be referred to as Midfjorden. On the southwest point of Dryna, inside Litleholmen, there is a ferry terminal for the ferry to Brattvåg, Fjørtofta, and Harøya.

Drynjasundet, between Dryna and Midøya, is closed off by a road embankment. There is a bridge in the embankment, but the passage is only navigable by rowboats.

From Midfjorden, one can continue through Midsundet out to Harøyfjorden. A bridge crosses the strait, with a minimum vertical clearance of 18 meters.
