While the southern part of the forested&nbsp;<a href=\"ssr:247868\" data-county=\"Vestland\" data-lat=\"60.12881\" data-lng=\"5.98929\" data-municipality=\"Kvinnherad\" data-type=\"&Oslash;y i sj&oslash;\">Varalds&oslash;y</a>&nbsp;is relatively low, it is mostly steep on the east and northeast sides of the fjord. The south side of the fjord, between&nbsp;<a href=\"ssr:509042\" data-county=\"Vestland\" data-lat=\"60.07499\" data-lng=\"6.06706\" data-municipality=\"Kvinnherad\" data-type=\"Vik i sj&oslash;\">Svoldalsvika</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"ssr:4935\" data-county=\"Vestland\" data-lat=\"60.09562\" data-lng=\"6.11645\" data-municipality=\"Kvinnherad\" data-type=\"Nes i sj&oslash;\">&AElig;nestangen</a>, has somewhat gentler mountain slopes and scree, while the east side is again quite steep. The settlement around the fjord is very sparse, and there are few anchorages.</p>",
