        "description_en":"<p>For the safest possible navigation between Nordporten, north in Hinlopenstretet, and Sju&oslash;yane, it is recommended to use the corridor for passage around Nordaustlandet.&nbsp; The corridor has been surveyed with high accuracy using multibeam echo sounder. It should therefore be safe to navigate if you stay within this corridor and adhere to the depth information provided.</p>\n<p>Before entering the corridor at Parryflaket, mariners must be aware of the shallow bank extending north and northwest from Storsteinhalv&oslash;ya.&nbsp; Here, there are underwater rocks of 6.4 meters and 8 meters located approximately 6 NM northwest of Langgrunnen on Storsteinhalv&oslash;ya.&nbsp; On the west side of L&aring;g&oslash;ya, you should also expect shallow and foul waters up to 3 NM along the west side of the island.</p>\n<p>Sju&oslash;yane are the northernmost land areas on&nbsp;<a href=\"ssr:586988\" data-county=\"Svalbard\" data-lat=\"77.60764\" data-lng=\"16.85267\" data-municipality=\"Svalbard\" data-type=\"&Oslash;ygruppe i sj&oslash;\">Svalbard</a>, and include Nelson&oslash;ya, Parry&oslash;ya, Martens&oslash;ya, Phipps&oslash;ya, Tavle&oslash;ya, Vesle Tavle&oslash;ya, and Ross&oslash;ya.</p>\n<p>The waters around the islands have been visited relatively often, but it is an area that is poorly described.</p>\n<p>The mentioned corridor with multi beam data goes through Nordkappsundet and leads to Sju&oslash;yane from a southern approach.</p>",

        "caution_en":"<h3>Current and ice conditions</h3>\n<p>The West-Spitsbergen Current swings around the NW corner of Spitsbergen, but it has little influence east of Hinlopen Strait, as it is normally forced down by the colder, fresher, and much lighter westward current in the area between Moffen and Sju&oslash;yane. The drift ice pressing down from the Arctic Ocean can, even in summer, block the coast eastward, but not so much that an ice-strengthened vessel can usually make its way through even under such conditions. It may be advantageous to travel further from the coast, where the ice will be thinner. Even weaker vessels can sometimes make their way through in some summers, but one must always be vigilant not to get trapped by sudden changes in wind direction and strength. Generally, there will always be drift ice from the area Sju&oslash;yane-Nordkapp (Chermside Island) and eastward, even in summer, but one can also experience ice-free areas up to 60 NM north of Kvit&oslash;ya.</p>\n<h3>Survey data</h3>\n<p>Surveys are incomplete in the area. Soundings within unsurveyed areas and those compiled from incomplete older surveys are unreliable and do not fully exclude undiscovered shoals. Navigation within these waters &nbsp;should be avoided whenever possible. Attention should be paid to the Source Diagram.</p>\n<h3>Shallow areas near shoreline</h3>\n<p>Close to the shore, there can be unsurveyed areas or areas of poor data quality. Due to the chart's scale such areas are not always visible on nautical Charts. Navigation in these waters must be exercised with extreme caution.</p>\n<h3>Front of glaciers</h3>\n<p>Limits of glaciers are subject to frequent change. In front of glaciers going into the sea, there are major &nbsp;variations from year to year, and depths are uncertain. Such areas must be considered as unsurveyed. Such &nbsp;conditions must be taken into account when navigating in these waters and caution exercised.</p>",
