Vierrenna and Store Ostsund are the best entries for larger vessels heading to Sandvika. Two leading lights 343.5\u00b0 (QR and Fl R) safely guide past H\u00f8yerholmfluene, red beacon, and into Vierrenna. From Vierrenna, take the light at Store Ostsund slightly to port and proceed through the strait until the lights at Kalv\u00f8ya (Iso W) are aligned, leading safely into Kalv\u00f8ya.

If approaching from the E and heading to the area on the N side of Ost\u00f8ya, Snar\u00f8ysundet or Lille Ostsund can be used. Snar\u00f8ysundet is narrower and more winding than Store Ostsund, while Lille Ostsund is easy to navigate with about 25 m at its narrowest point and a depth of 5.0 m. None of these straits are marked for night sailing.

Ingen av disse sundene er merket for nattseilas.
