On the north side of Kjøtta there is a harbour for all types of vessels between Åkerøya, Kjøttakalven, and Kjøtta.

You should anchor as far inside as possible in the bay between Kjøttakalven and Kjøtta to get the best shelter. Smaller vessels can go in until the western point of Åkerøya is in line with the western point of Kjøttakalven. Larger vessels can anchor when the sound between Åkerøya and Kjøttakalven is closed. The bottom consists of sand and clay.

On the north side of Kjøtta there is a 65\u2011metre wooden quay, of which about 30 metres can be used. The place, which has 7 permanent residents (1998), is served by a high\u2011speed passenger boat.

In the eastern part of the sound between Kjøtta and Kjøttakalven there is a good harbour for small vessels. The entrance to the harbour is from the east. In the middle of the sound there is a sandbar with a depth of 2.5 m. East of the sandbar there are mooring bolts on both sides of the sound.

Man bør ankre så langt inne som mulig i bukta mellom Kjøttakalven og Kjøtta for å få best mulig ly. Mindre fartøyer kan gå så langt inn at W\u2011pynten av Åkerøya er overett med W\u2011pynten av Kjøttakalven. Større fartøyer kan ankre med sundet mellom Åkerøya og Kjøttakalven lukket. Bunnen er sand og leire.

På N-siden av Kjøtta, 65 m trekai hvor ca 30 m kan brukes. Stedet, som har 7 fastboende (1998), anløpes av hurtigbåt.

I østre delen av sundet mellom Kjøtta og Kjøttakalvener det god havn for småfartøyer. Innløpet til havnen er fra E. Midt i sundet er det et sandrev med dybde 2,5 m. E for revet er det fortøyningsbolter på begge sider av sundet.
