Grip is the collective name for the group of islets and skerries surrounding the island of Grip, located about 8 nautical miles NNW of Kristiansund, where the former fishing village of Grip is situated.
Grip is no longer inhabited, but has become a very popular tourist destination. During the summer, there are shops and a café. In the middle of the cluster of houses stands a small church, with its tower visible above the rooftops.
At its peak, Grip had around 400 inhabitants. Grip was its own municipality until 1964, when it was merged with Kristiansund.

All the islets in Grip are small and low, offering little protection from the sea and wind, and are not visible from a distance. On the northernmost of the islets, Bratthårskollen, stands Grip fyr (Lighthouse), a 44-meter-high red iron tower with a white stone base. The lighthouse also functions as a radio beacon.

Grip er fraflyttet, men er blitt et meget besøkt turiststed. Om sommeren er her handel og kafé. Midt i husklyngen står en liten kirke, og tårnet er synlig over hustakene.
På det meste hadde Grip ca 400 innbyggere. Grip var egen kommune frem til 1964, da ble Grip slått sammen med Kristiansund.

Samtlige holmer i Grip er små og lave og gir liten beskyttelse mot sjø og vind, og er ikke synlig på noen avstand. På den N-ligste av holmene, Bratthårskollen, står Grip fyr, 44 m høyt, rødt jerntårn med hvit steinsokkel. Fyret er også radiofyr.

Grip has two harbors protected by breakwaters: Yttervågen, on the northwest side of the island, and Innervågen, on the south side. In Yttervågen, there are floating docks and moorings for small boats. In Innervågen, there is a concrete quay with two berthing sides: the north side, 20 meters long, and the west side, 48 meters long. There are mooring bolts on the inside of the breakwater.

Smaller vessels can, in calm weather, anchor outside the breakwater on the southeast side of Grip. The depth is 15–17 meters with a sandy bottom, but the anchorage is exposed to heavy swells in northerly and northwesterly weather. Mooring bolts are available on the small skerry southwest of the anchorage.

Grip har to havner beskyttet av moloer, Yttervågen, NW på øya, og Innervågen, S på øya. I Yttervågen er det småbåttillegg og flytebrygger, i Innervågen, betongkai med to tilleggssider, N-siden, 20 m, og W-siden, 48 m. Fortøyningsbolter på innsiden av moloen.

Mindre fartøyer kan i maksvær ankre opp utenfor moloen på SE-siden av Grip, dybde 15–17 m, sandbunn, men ankerplassen er utsatt for voldsomt sjødrag i N- og NW-lig vær. Fortøyningsbolter i det lille skjæret SW for ankerplassen.
