The town is well-sheltered within <a data-county=\"Rogaland\" data-lat=\"58.45047\" data-lng=\"5.9491\" data-municipality=\"Eigersund\" data-type=\"\u00d8y i sj\u00f8\" href=\"ssr:970706\">Eiger\u00f8ya</a> on an otherwise weather-beaten coastal stretch.</p>\n<p>The town has a large number of quays of modern design and is very sought after as an emergency and waiting harbor by fishermen both from domestic and international locations.</p>\n<p>Daily ferry and Ro/Ro connection with Denmark (Hanstholm). Egersund is connected to the S\u00f8rlandsbanen railway and also has bus connections with surrounding districts. National road 44 runs right by the town, which also has a connection with E-39 at Helleland.</p>\n<p>The harbor is ice-free during normal winters.</p>\n<h3>Guest Harbor</h3>\n<p>70 meters of floating jetty serving as a guest dock. Kiosk, shower, laundry room, toilet, and trash cans.</p>\n<h3>Ship Traffic</h3>\n<p>From the outer end of the route boat quay and inward to the inner harbor, motor-driven vessels should proceed at a maximum speed of 5 knots.</p>",

Egersund er tlknyttet S&oslash;rlandsbanen og har dessuten rutebilforbindelse med omliggende distrikter. Riksvei 44 g&aring;r like ved byen, som ogs&aring; har tilknytning med E-39 ved Helleland.</p>\n<p>Havna er i normale vintrer isfri.</p>\n<h3>Gjestehavn</h3>\n<p>70 m flytebrygge som tjener som gjestebrygge.
