Furthermore, it is forbidden to anchor or have fixed mooring along the southern shore of the strait.
Small vessels can anchor in the middle zone of the inner harbor and in the small boat harbor.
Larger vessels can anchor in Eiterfjorden and beyond, but not in such a way that navigation into the harbor is obstructed. NB! Watch out for underwater cables crossing Hav\u00f8ysundet!

\nDet er forbudt å ankre eller fortøye innen området som ligger på W-siden av en rett linje trukket fra Hallvikneset i retning S-over sundet til Eiterfjordholmen og E for en rett linje trukket fra et punkt 25 m W for Gamle Rutebåtkaias vestre hjørne og over sundet til Dampskipssteinen.
Videre er det forbudt å ankre eller ha fast fortøyning langs sundets søndre bredd.
Mindre fartøyer kan ankre i midtsonen i indre havn og i sjarkhavnen.
